I was right there with the trout counting their speckles and bars. Just pure magick.

How delightful to be offered a shape-shift with my coffee this morning. I did so much want that, without knowing. Your writing layers on to my bits and pieces so I can participate and feel those spaces, too. Thank you for honoring your reader as much as your subject.

So many thresholds, a feast of thresholds you describe. Thank you!

...a living tapestry. Your trout are weaving magic between their world and mine.

.. did not imagine you might ‘top the charm of dippers’ & so - may call myself correct ?

Smiling at myself now, how irrelevant the thought or concern is made.. by nature’s perfect balance

This is such beautiful writing - to have the magic to shape shift so fluidly into a creature living in a totally different element from ours is a great gift. To sensitively build such a world of ancient brown trout, in that wild and icy chasm shows a total bewitching of your mind by the nature around you! Thank you for casting these spells over your readers in turn!

Thanks, Vanessa. You are right - I'm just passing on the words that I was lucky enough to hear in the roar of a waterfall :-)

David, each time I read one of your essays about your home area and its co-inhabitants I think I could not possibly like your writing more...and then you post another. Please continue writing.
